ASEND

Asend is a Chicago-based artist and muralist. His artistic influences are deeply rooted in Chicago’s graffiti and street art scene that spanned the city during the 1990s, as well the Baroque painting period of 1600-1800s. Asend brings an extensive mastery of color and composition to large scale oil paintings and murals, including interior design and sculpture.

Notable projects of 2021 included the completion of Chicago's largest mural located downtown on the Kennedy Expressway; as well as the portrait unveiling of Chicago White Sox’s team captain and 2020 Major League Baseball’s MVP, Jose Abreu. This portrait is currently on display at Guaranteed Rate Field. Asend's work is often commissioned by private and commercial clients throughout the United States and overseas, including Art Basel (Miami), New York, Tahiti, Mongolia, and China.
