Denise ‘Sincerity’ Garcia is a Brooklyn native who takes pride in her cultural richness by fusing her gritty New York background with the tropical and ancestral sounds of Latin America. She has trained as an MC under Toni Blackman and in 2018 completed her first Arts Envoy in Uganda with Rhyme Like a Girl. In 2019, she was chosen for a residency and tour in Colombia by One Beat from Sound Found Nation. Throughout the pandemic, Sincerity received a seed grant from One Beat Accelerator and then a NeOn Arts Grant in partnership with Carnegie Hall and the Department of Probation for Lyrics to Life: The Workshop (a movement she created in 2014) with young people across New York City.
Committed to her craft and community, Sincerity continues to cultivate her artistry and is driven by her vision to be a bridge between cultures through Hip Hop.
